Happy New Year From Cocoa And Pookie!
Or is that Happy 7 New Years in dog years? Here are 2 (out of 3) of my happy mutts frollicking in the snow. Cocoa (on the right) likes to “snowplow” nose first, Pookie (left) likes to eat the snow.
If you want to do something special for yourself and another living creature this year, consider adopting a dog or cat from your local shelter. They’ll be some of the best friends you’ll ever have. Mine are!

Holiday Cheer
It’s snowing here in New Mexico, Christmas is 5 days away (I’d better start my shopping) and the FBI reports that violent crime is on the rise in America.
Nice.
So where the hell is the comfort and joy and good will? It went away. It was here on September 11, 2001. The day of the religious fundamentalist attacks. Or the terrorist attacks, if you feel better calling them that. I would bet that on September 11 and 12 and 13 and for a few days beyond those that violent crime (and all crime) was nearly nonexistent. Americans felt a sense of community and affinity. And, dare I say it; love for our neighbors.
Why? Maybe it was because we found a common enemy to hate. Whatever is was, it worked and it was good.
So my Holiday wish to you is this; Remember 9/11/2001 and the few days that followed it. Embrace your family, let your friends know you cherish them and wish your neighbors Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Super Solstice or whatever. And if you get the sudden urge to murder someone, don’t. Have some eggnog instead. Yum!
Peace.

Lucy P. December Fan Of The Month
Lucy was at the Sun Healthcare holiday party where I did my hypnotist thing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Thanks, Lucy and all the employees and guests. What a fun time we had.
